Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• One year of mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Ability to develop external business via referrals.

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to loan processing and underwriting departments.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customer, communicating progress and obtaining documentation.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and regulations.
• Establishes marketing plan and frequency of contact with potential customers.
• Answers calls and walk-in customers about loan products and qualification information.
• Makes sales calls to develop new business or retain existing business.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and takes steps to correct encroachments and violations.
