Job summary

Academic Approach is seeking tutors/teachers to deliver high-impact 1-on-1 and classroom instruction across the Chicagoland area, with in-person work at our Lincoln Park office and on campus partners. Most hours vary seasonally; the role is not full-time, typically averaging 8-12 hours per week.

New tutors should commit for at least one full school year, with content quizzes prior to interviews. Training is robust and paid, with opportunities for growth and travel compensation for longer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject.
• Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and educational equity.
• Ability to demonstrate academic expertise in English, math, reading, and science; all subjects on the ACT.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging academic and test-prep instruction to high school students in Chicagoland.
• Build relationships in a supportive and professional manner.
• Maintain an accurate calendar in Microsoft Outlook.
• Respond to administrators, students, and parents promptly.
• Demonstrate classroom management in both remote and in-person settings.
• Attend required training and professional development events.
