Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Commerce City, CO is seeking a Production Associate - Sub Assembly Technician to join a manufacturing team.

You will work with a team to build High Horse Power engines from long block status to complete running engines, using hand tools, precision instruments, torque tools, cranes, and engine-specific tooling while documenting the process accurately and following Cummins safety policies.

Qualifications

Significant manufacturing, assembly, mechanical, or engine-building experience.
Advanced knowledge of engine products; high horsepower engine experience is a plus.
Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, torque tools, and overhead cranes.
Experience reading and following work instructions, build documentation, and engineering standards.
Ability to document work and production records.
Working knowledge of computers including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and related software.
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for extended periods.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Assemble engines from long block status to running engines using hand tools and engine-specific tooling.
Operate manufacturing equipment while meeting production, quality, and safety standards.
Perform quality inspections and document build processes with required paperwork.
Assist in identifying equipment in need of repair and support continuous improvement.
Maintain a clean, organized work area and adhere to safety policies.
