Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Production Associate - Sub Assembly Technician in Commerce City, CO to operate machines and assemble engine components, meeting safety and quality standards.

The role involves sub-assembly of HHP engine parts, using manual and automated equipment, and performing inspections. Candidates should have a high school diploma and prior engine/manufacturing experience, with physical ability to lift 35 lbs and stand for long periods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Mechanical aptitude with engine components and manufacturing equipment.
• Experience reading work instructions, procedures, and safety rules.
• Experience with precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Ability to operate overhead cranes or willingness to learn.
• Able to lift up to 35 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Previous engine assembly or manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble internal engine components (pistons, liners, turbos, camshafts, cylinder heads, oil pans).
• Prepare and assemble components for installation on the engine assembly line.
• Operate manual and automated equipment to meet production and quality standards.
• Perform quality inspections and identify non-conforming materials.
• Use precision measuring devices and operate overhead cranes safely.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform routine equipment care.
