Cummins Inc. in Commerce City, CO is seeking a Production Associate - Assembly Technician to join the manufacturing team.
You will operate engines assembly from long block to running engines using hand tools, torque tools, and engine-specific tooling, while following instructions and quality standards. The ideal candidate has significant manufacturing or engine-building experience, the ability to lift 35 lbs, and familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Operates machines and production equipment independently in accordance with quality and productivity requirements safely in a manufacturing environment and may instruct or coach others.
We are looking for a talented Production Associate - Assembly Technician to join our manufacturing team in (Commerce City, CO (Henderson)).
Assemble High Horsepower (HHP) engines from long block status to complete running engines
Utilize hand tools, precision measuring devices, torque tools, cranes, and engine-specific tooling throughout the build process
Operate manufacturing equipment and meet production, quality, and safety standards
Perform quality inspections and accurately document the build process using required paperwork
Support continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, and manufacturing processes
Maintain a clean and organized work area and assist in identifying equipment requiring repair
Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures
Significant manufacturing, assembly, mechanical, or engine-building experience
Advanced knowledge of engine products; High Horsepower engine experience is a plus
Ability to use hand tools, precision measuring instruments, torque tools, and overhead cranes
Experience reading and following work instructions, build documentation, and engineering standards
Ability to accurately document work and maintain production records
Working knowledge of computer systems including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and other manufacturing-related software
Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, handle large components, and stand for extended periods
High school diploma or equivalent required
Assembly - production associate level III - In this role you will work with a team to build HHP engines from the long block status to complete running engine. You will use a multitude of handheld tools, precision measuring tools, torque tools, cranes, and engine specific tooling to build these engines.
Ideal candidate will have advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine product(s) the ability or skills to build engines and experience with High Horsepower Engines would be a plus.
Must have the ability to lift 35lbs, stand for long periods of time, lift and manipulate large, encumbered parts, read and follow directions, and accurately document the build process through specific build paperwork.
Must also possess knowledge to operate some computer systems, Excell, PowerPoint, outlook, teams, and some Cummins specific programming.
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
