Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electronics Technology, Laser/Electro- Optical Technology, or related technical discipline; or equivalent military or industry experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience supporting complex electrical, mechanical, or electromechanical systems.
  • Experience performing hardware assembly, system integration, troubleshooting, and testing activities.
  • Experience working with electrical systems, power distribution equipment, thermal management systems, cooling systems, or industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, assembly instructions, and technical documentation.
  • Experience using electrical and mechanical test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, integrate, and maintain High Energy Laser system hardware and associated subsystems.
  • Support production and manufacturing activities, including hardware builds, inspections, configuration management, and process documentation.
  • Install, route, terminate, and troubleshoot electrical wiring, cable assemblies, connectors, and subsystem interfaces.
  • Assemble and integrate power distribution, power conditioning, energy storage, and thermal management equipment supporting HEL operations.
  • Perform system-level and subsystem-level integration activities for laser, power, cooling, controls, and support equipment.
  • Execute test procedures and support developmental, qualification, acceptance, and operational testing activities.
  • Operate test equipment and instrumentation to collect, record, and document system performance data.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, thermal, and laser system issues and support root-cause investigations.
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on laboratory, production, and fielded equipment.
  • Travel as required to support system integration, field testing, customer demonstrations, and deployment activities.
