Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in engineering or related field and 2+ years of experience.
• US Citizenship.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
• Extensive experience with SolidWorks CAD software.

Responsibilities

• Exercises independent judgment in selecting and interpreting data based on the design intent.
• Interpret general designs to complete details.
• Coordinate and plan large drafting projects.
• Gather product and structural requirements from engineers.
• Calculate dimensions, weights, and material needs.
• Describe production methods and applicable equipment and software.
• Create detailed CAD designs and diagrams.
• Review sketches with the engineering team and iterate.
• Identify potential operational issues and redesign for functionality.
• Ensure final designs comply with regulations and quality standards.
• Create manuals describing operation, features and maintenance.
