Job summary

ARC Health Partners is seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) for opportunities with partner practices across multiple states, including Ohio. The PMHNP provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative care in outpatient settings, with flexible in-person, hybrid, or remote options.

Ideal candidates hold PMHNP-BC certification, an active APRN license, and a DEA number, with at least one year of post-certification outpatient experience.

Qualifications

• Board-certified PMHNP with active license as an APRN.

• Experience with telepsychiatry is a plus.

Responsibilities

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)

Employment Type: W-2 Full-Time, W-2 Part-Time, or 1099 opportunities available (varies by practice)

Schedule: Varies by practice (some opportunities may include evenings/weekends)

Location: In-person, hybrid, or remote within applicable states.

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) at our partner practices provide high-quality comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, TMS services (if applicable), and ongoing treatment in an outpatient setting, working within a collaborative, patient-centered care model. Success in this role is demonstrated through safe prescribing practices, strong patient engagement, and close collaboration with therapy and interdisciplinary clinical teams.

PMHNP Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnoses
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
• Monitor treatment response and adjust care plans
• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with therapists and other providers as part of an integrated care model
• Site/Partner Practice dependent, PMHNPs may perform TMS cortical mappings
• Site/Partner Practice dependent, PMHNPs may oversee staff technicians who perform daily TMS treatments

Requirements

• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License pursuant to the laws of the state where healthcare services are provided
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted license(s) to practice nursing pursuant to the laws of the State where healthcare services are provided
• Possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) number and all other licenses and certificates that may be lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances;
• Minimum of 1 year of post-certification experience, outpatient preferred
• Ability to function well independently, as well as a member of a multidisciplinary team, ability to work productively and effectively.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as thorough knowledge about the various medical processes and procedures
• Possess and maintain adequate/required Professional Liability Insurance policy
• Comply with prescription drug monitoring program regulations
