Job summary

ARC Health is seeking Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) for opportunities across our partner practices in Connecticut with remote, in-person, or hybrid work options.PMHNPs provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and collaborative care within outpatient settings.

Applicants must hold PMHNP-BC, an unrestricted APRN license, and a valid DEA number; prior outpatient experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Board certification as PMHNP-BC
• Valid, unrestricted APRN license in the state of practice
• Valid DEA number and prescriptive authority
• Outpatient psychiatric care experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and diagnoses
• Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications

• Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation
• Collaborate with therapists and other providers as part of an integrated care model
• Site/Partner Practice dependent, PMHNPs may oversee staff technicians who perform daily TMS treatments

PMHNP Responsibilities

Requirements

• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License pursuant to the laws of the state where healthcare services are provided
• Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted license(s) to practice nursing pursuant to the laws of the State where healthcare services are provided
• Possess and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) number and all other licenses and certificates that may be lawfully required to prescribe medications, including controlled substances;
• Minimum of 1 year of post-certification experience, outpatient preferred
• Ability to function well independently, as well as a member of a multidisciplinary team, ability to work productively and effectively.
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills, as well as thorough knowledge about the various medical processes and procedures
• Possess and maintain adequate/required Professional Liability Insurance policy
• Comply with prescription drug monitoring program regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfort with telepsychiatry
• Knowledge of evidence-based medication protocols
