Job summary

• Provide daily care, feeding, watering, and health monitoring for research animals (bovine, porcine, and avian) in high-containment settings.
• Set up housing and study-specific supplies; manage project closeouts including decontaminating housing and records.
• Assist with animal restraint, sampling, health observations, and experimental procedures involving high-consequence pathogens.
• Ensure adherence to IACUC protocols and report welfare concerns to the Attending Veterinarian and supervisor.
• Manage waste streams and autoclave sterilization; track project supplies and facility readiness.
• Coordinate with veterinary leadership and compliance committees as needed.
