UofL Health is seeking Registered Nurses for high-acuity PCU units at University Hospital - UMC in downtown Louisville. Both experienced and new graduates are welcome.

Part- and full-time opportunities with day and night shifts available. Units include Complex Cardiac Medical PCU, Complex Medical/Stroke PCU, Neuro Trauma PCU, Ortho Trauma PCU, Post Surgical PCU, Surgical Oncology PCU and Surgical Trauma PCU.

Qualifications

• Nursing practice competencies to intervene for safe patient care.

Responsibilities

• Conducts systematic, continuous assessments from admission to discharge.
• Administers medications per licensure, monitors effects and documents.
• Plans care with patient/family using current knowledge and safety goals.
• Identifies and prioritizes problems based on assessments and goals.
• Implements nursing interventions to meet patient needs and ensure safety.
• Assesses and evaluates patient/family teaching for effectiveness.
