• Promotes a safety culture and adheres to plant safety policies.
• Checks work orders and verifies material weight, alloy, size, and quality.
• Operates forklift to move material to production floor or shipping area.
• Follows packaging instructions and identifies material for processing.

Responsibilities

• Check work orders and verify material weight, alloy, size, and quality.
• Operate forklift to move material to production floor or shipping or shipping area.
• Follow packaging instructions and complete all documentation.
• Operate simple hand tools and machines (bander, core cutter, shrink wrapper, nail gun, circular saw).
• Maintain clean work area and designate area for completed coils.
• Prepare metal coils by trimming to customer widths; verify coil specifications.
• Identify edged material by alloy, size, melt, weight, edge; complete documentation.
