Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Springfield, MA is seeking a Forklift Operator to move incoming freight to inventory, stock slots, and support safe warehouse operations. You will inspect items, record locations in the RF unit, and backhaul as needed, with weekend/shift schedule.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years in warehouse work; forklift and pallet jack experience preferred (HiLo). Safety and GMP compliance are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required.
• 1-2 years warehouse or distribution experience preferred.
• 6+ months forklift and pallet jack experience.
• HiLo forklift experience and backup backhaul receiver preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and maintain a safe work area.
• Review schedule, perform safety checks, prepare supplies, wear PPE.
• Meet productivity and accuracy standards.
• Operate from receiving sheets and RF unit to move freight.
• Locate and count incoming freight, transport to freezer or storage.
• Inspect items for damage, perform temperature and quality checks.
• Place pallets on racks and update product location in RF system.
• Replenish pick slots for outgoing stock.
• Rotate stock and remove outdated inventory as per policy.
• Perform general housekeeping and backhaul support.
• End-of-shift secure equipment and complete paperwork.
