MO Veterans Home - Cape Girardeau is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide skilled nursing services for our Veterans. The role includes assessing medical needs, delivering medications, and coordinating care with the nursing team, under supervision and in accordance with Missouri Board of Nursing standards.

Compensation includes shift differentials and benefits. This position emphasizes compassionate care and teamwork to support our Veterans and their families in a respectful environment.

Qualifications

• Current Missouri LPN license in good standing.
• Graduate nurse permitted up to 90 days or until licensure.
• Ability to provide skilled nursing and document in EMR.

Responsibilities

• Assess Veterans' needs and provide nursing services.
• Perform nursing procedures per standards of practice.
• Coordinate tasks of nursing staff on unit/wing.
• Deliver medications accurately and report changes to supervisor.

We are recruiting for a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide skilled technical nursing services to assess our Veterans' medical needs. Pay:

• Day shift: $29.30 - $31.28/hour
• Evening and night shift: $31.30 - $33.28/hour
• Pay commensurate with experience
• Additional $1.50/hour weekend shift differential available

Examples of Work

• Assess needs of Veterans and ensures services are consistent with needs
• Perform clinical nursing procedures according to acceptable standards of practice
• Coordinates tasks of nursing personnel designated to specified wing/unit
• Provide skilled technical nursing services as directed by Registered Nurse Supervisor and report significant changes
• Deliver medication accurately and conduct follow-up observations
• Participate in orientation of unit staff
• Transcribe and implement physician orders
• Document in the electronic medical record (EMR) accurately and timely

Qualifications

• Licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Missouri – in good standing; or
• A recent graduate of an accredited nursing program may practice as a graduate nurse until results of first licensure examination are received or until 90 days after graduation, whichever occurs first, as allowed by the Missouri Board of Nursing
