Job summary

Right at Home Greater Jax is looking for caregivers to assist clients with daily living activities in a flexible work environment. You'll perform various personal care tasks including hygiene, mobility assistance, meal preparation, and housekeeping duties.

This role requires a CNA license or HHA Certificate, alongside a valid driver’s license and auto insurance. Employees are rewarded with a caregiver recognition program and paid training and travel time.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Driver License or State Photo ID.
• Second form of ID (SSN, Passport, etc.) required.
• Auto Insurance is mandatory.
• TB or Chest X-ray must be provided.
• 1 letter of recommendation required.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care activities assisting patients with daily living.
• Accompany patients on errands or medical appointments.
• Perform housekeeping activities like vacuuming and laundry.
• Provide medication reminders and assist with exercises.
• Use lifting equipment such as Gait belts.

Essential Functions:

• Performs personal care activities that assist the patient with activities of daily living. These could include (but are not limited to):Personal Hygiene


• Ambulation/Transfers


• Dressing/Shaving


• Prepares meals and snacks according to instructions


• Accompany patient on errands or medical appointments


• Performs housekeeping activities which include (but are not limited to): vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, doing laundry and cleaning bathroom


• Performs patient-specific activities. These could include (but are not limited to):


• Providing hospice supportive care


• Medication reminders


• Assisting with exercises


• Incontinence care


• Use lifting equipment such as Gait belts

Preferred Experience in:

• Gait Belt


• Personal care


• Range of Motion Exercises


• Companionship


• Light cleaning

Requirements:
