Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Home and Community-Based Services Aide provides support and assistance with personal hygiene and household functions to help individuals remain in their own homes.

• Report observations of the client's condition to the Agency Director or accounts manager. Notify immediately of any incidents or accidents.
• Drive safely, comply with traffic regulations, and wear a seat belt when traveling for work.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, hair care, oral care, nail care, skin care, and transfers between bed, chair, and wheelchair.
• Assist with household tasks essential to the client's personal care.

Education and Experience

Experience Desired

• Six months experience in home care preferred.
• Successful completion of a competency evaluation.

License Requirements

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle or public transportation.
• Current CPR certification.

Skill Requirements

• Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
• Ability to work in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, or background.
• Able to work independently.
• Good communication, writing, and organizational skills.
