Amedisys, a leading home health and hospice provider, is seeking a registered nurse to deliver compassionate in-home care across Massachusetts. You will coordinate care plans, educate families, perform assessments and administer medications while collaborating with the care team to support patients at home.

Qualifications

• RN with at least 1 year of clinical experience.
• Current RN license for the state(s) assigned.
• Minimum six months home health experience.
• CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Able to assess patient status and age-specific needs.
• Familiar with computer use and online HR systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all aspects of patients' home care.
• Collaborate with care teams to develop and implement care plans.
• Educate families on patient condition, needs and care.
• Perform head-to-toe physical assessments and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Gives injections and manages catheters as needed.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately.
• Supervise LPNs and HHAs.
• Communicate patient progress to clinical manager and physician.

• Regularly communicates patient progress to the clinical manager, physician and care team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• One year of clinical experience as a registered nurse (RN). If less than 1 year clinical experience as a RN, candidate must be approved by VP clinical.*
• Current RN license, specific to the state(s) you are assigned to work.
• Minimum six months home health experience.
• Current CPR certification.Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.
• Able to assess patient status and identify requirements relative to age specific needs.
• Must be familiar with general use and functions of the computer, such as, user names and password concepts; internet; e-mail; navigation of computer desktop, including starting programs, using files and windows, effectively use navigation buttons and tool bars; ability to self-manage online HR services and online training programs.

*Note - If less than 6 months clinical experience as a RN, candidate must participate in RN Intern program.
