Job summary
RH Recruiting Limited in Livingston is recruiting an experienced HGV Technician to maintain, inspect, service and repair a fleet of commercial vehicles, with a focus on trailer maintenance. You will work on day or night shifts with a 4 on 4 off pattern.
Pay is £24.00 per hour for day shifts and £26.00 per hour for nights, with overtime paid at 1.5x. We offer training, career development and a supportive team environment.
Qualifications
- Experience as HGV/LGV/Trailer Technician or Heavy Vehicle Technician.
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and commitment to health and safety.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs on trailers.
- Inspecting trailers and identifying mechanical faults.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical issues.
- Carrying out preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
- Working on braking systems, suspension, lighting and other trailer components.
- Maintaining accurate service and repair records.
- Ensuring vehicles and trailers are safe, roadworthy and compliant.
- Working effectively as part of a professional workshop team.
- Potential opportunity to participate in an on-call rota.
