Job summary

The Lanes Group are recruiting a mobile drainage operative based at the Stockton-on-Tees depot, joining a two-person team to operate jetting and vacuumation equipment on various projects.

You will cover industrial, rail, utility, commercial and residential sites across the region, travelling in your vehicle with some time added for travel and ensuring timely attendance at jobs.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence with ideally no more than 3 penalty points.
• CPC certificate desirable.
• Competent in using a laptop/tablet for data entry.
• Physically fit with plenty of energy.
• CSCS card in date advantageous or obtainable if needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate jetting equipment and vacuumation units as part of a two‑person team.
• Manage drainage projects including blockage clearance and pipe cleansing; carry out emergency reactive works.
• Travel between sites across the region in your vehicle, with travel time added as required.
• Support various work sectors including industrial, rail, utility, commercial and residential.

About the role:

• Location: Stockton-on-Tees
• Role type: Permanent
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (weekend work as and when needed)
• Salary: £15.25 - £16.25 per hour Dependant on Experience

You will be part of a two-person team, operating our high specification jetting equipment and vaccumation units. Work Projects, will include any drainage related issues, including blockage clearance, pipe cleansing programmes and emergency reactive works

Although you start at the depot, you will be mobile attending to all work activities, within various work sectors, including industrial, rail, utility, commercial, residential. Travelling in your vehicle you will be covering jobs throughout the region which can involve travel times added in addition.

Experience and qualifications required for the role:

• HGV Class 2 licence, with no more than 3 penalty points ideally
• A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is desirable
• Competent in using an electronic device – laptop / tablet for data entry.
• Physical fitness and lots of energy.
• An in date CSCS would be advantageous – however this could be obtained if necessary
