Job summary

The Lanes Group, the UK’s largest independent water and wastewater solutions provider, is hiring for a CCTV Technician in Washington. You will operate CCTV gear to measure pipe dimensions, inspect for blockages, and document findings.

Work primarily from a van with built-in CCTV and reporting software, and log activities on a tablet for client updates. Applicants should have a full UK driving licence (6 points max), be comfortable in a two-person team, and possess IT skills including Excel.

• OX19 Preferrable.
• CSCS Card Preferrable.

Responsibilities

• You will use CCTV equipment to measure heights and depths of the pipe and check for damages to be recorded.
• Access pipes via manhole covers to insert CCTV camera with accuracy.
• Carry out most work from your van equipped with CCTV and computer system.
• Use a tablet to keep records and report work back to clients.

About The Role

• Location: Washington
• Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week
• Salary: £14 - £16 per hour dependant on experience

The Job

• You will use the CCTV equipment to measure the heights and depths of the pipe, as well as to check for any damages that needs to be recorded i.e. debris in the pipe or grease build up.
• Initially the role will involve, you accessing the pipe via manhole covers to put the CCTV camera down the pipe with accuracy.
• You will then carry out majority of the work from your van which has been installed with the CCTV and computer system for you to carry out the work.
• You will be using a tablet to keep records of the work you are carrying out which involves crucial paperwork to be carried out as this needs to be reporting back to the clients you are carrying out the work on behalf of.
