Job summary

Rapier Employment is recruiting HGV Class 2 drivers for a temp-to-perm role near Rochester. You will join a two-person delivery team, delivering kitchens and bedrooms to customers’ homes and providing excellent service. Training and progression are offered, with guaranteed hours during the temp period.

Typical hours are Mon–Fri with early starts; pay includes £18.25 per hour plus overtime and a quarterly bonus, with a generous annual earnings potential and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 Licence.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card required.
• Newly qualified drivers welcome.
• Max 6 penalty points (no DR, DD, IN or CU80).
• Physically fit for manual handling and heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods to the customer's room of choice.
• Work with a driver's mate to complete deliveries.
• Use handheld scanners to confirm deliveries.
• Provide professional customer service at all times.
• Perform manual handling and heavy lifting as part of daily duties.
