Job summary

Hilton Garden Inn - Dubuque, IA is seeking an Entry level Breakfast Cook. You will produce assigned breakfast specials with consistent quality and timely output, following recipes and sanitation standards while operating grills, stoves, fryers, and other kitchen tools.

Schedule includes early morning shifts with several days off. Minimum education includes a high school diploma or equivalent; some technical schooling or brief experience is preferred.

BASIC FUNCTION

Produce assigned food specials consistently with high quality in a timely manner.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares proper quantity and quality of food product in accordance with production plan.
• Read and follow recipes for consistent food products.
• Maintain a high level of sanitation.
• Clean equipment (degrease, change fryers, etc)
• Other duties as assigned.

HOURS

• Wednesday - 5:00AM - 11:00 AM
• Thursday - 5:00AM - 11:00 AM
• Friday - 5:00AM - 11:00 AM
• Saturday - 6:00AM - 12:00 PM
• Sunday - 6:00AM - 12:00 PM
• *Schedule subject to change based on business needs

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• High School diploma
• One-year technical school or
• 3-6 months experience

STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE

• Knowledge of food temperatures.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Good reading and comprehension skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Must be able to use kitchen equipment.
• Must understand cooking measurements.
• Possess basic math skills.
