Job summary

Locations include Findlay, OH, with additional sites; expected on-site work at 40 hours per week, and opportunities to learn across refining, logistics, and compliance areas.

Qualifications

• Concurrent enrollment in a Bachelor's degree (or higher) seeking program for the duration of the internship experience.
• Strong academic performance.
• Available to work on site 40 hours per week.
• Must be able to safely ascend and descend multiple flights of stairs and/or ladders, and lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license for work-related travel.
• Must be able to provide reliable transportation to and from place of work.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future.
• Available for multiple work terms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safety and Industrial Hygiene interns/co-ops are critical to ensuring that we maintain high standards for protecting people, the environment, and the communities where we work and live.
• They support all areas of the business, including Refining; Midstream Crude Oil & Products Logistics; Midstream Natural Gas & Natural Gas Liquids Services; and Occupational & Environmental Hygiene.
• Interns/co-ops assist company professionals in implementing various health, safety, and security planning and compliance activities pertaining to the protection of human health and safety.
• Duties may include: facility audits; employee training programs; industrial hygiene; equipment maintenance; participation in health safety and security projects; incident investigations; emergency preparedness and response; governmental inspections; compliance with government regulations; and working as an agency liaison with other Marathon business units.
