Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 year of experience in ophthalmic assistant role preferred.

• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient screening, including chief complaint, ocular and medical history, pain assessment, medications, allergies, and visual acuity.
• Conducts routine ophthalmic assessments such as refraction, lensometry, tonometry, visual fields, pupil evaluation, and ocular motility testing.
• Administers diagnostic eye drops and medications per protocol.
• Performs specialized testing (dark adapt, color vision, ERG, EOG, visual field testing).
• Maintains supplies and cleans/testing areas following infection prevention standards.
