Job summary

Farm Job Search is seeking a Herd Manager / Head Herdsman for a 1200-cow dairy in Southern Minnesota. The role involves reproduction work, breeding, and ultrasound preg checks, with supervision of staff and collaboration with management. Housing and health benefits are provided, and overtime applies after 40 hours.

Knowledge of DHI+ software is preferred, and dairy Spanish is a plus for communication with team and veterinarians.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising other employees is required.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage a 1200-cow dairy herd and oversee day-to-day operations.

Location: MinnesotaJobNumber: 5918Herd Manager / Head Herdsman position available on modern 1200 cow dairy with year old parlor in Southern Minnesota. MUST be able to do reproduction work, breeding and ultra sound preg checks. Knowledge of DHI+ software, experience supervising other employees and dairy Spanish is a plus. This position is 5 days/week with overtime after 40 hours. Housing available in the area. Benefits include paid vacation after one year. Health insurance available.
