Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nurse practitioner program.
• Current California RN license, NP license, and Furnishing License Certification.
• Current NP Specialty Certification in an aligned specialty from AANP/ANCC/NCC/PNCB/AACN.
• BLS/CPR certification at time of hire with commitment to obtain BART within 6 months.
• Six months or more of experience as a licensed Nurse Practitioner.
• Direct hepatology clinical experience with independent evaluation of liver disease; 5–7 years preferred.
• Experience performing hepatology diagnostic tests (FibroScan elastography, HVPG, liver biopsies).
• Experience with hepatology medication management and complex treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent clinical assessment and management of hepatology patients.
• Develop and modify treatment plans; monitor disease progression.
• Prescribe and manage therapies; coordinate diagnostic and procedural care.
• Collaborate with hepatologists, APPs, nurses, pharmacists, and transplant teams.
• Manage a high-volume ambulatory hepatology clinic and telehealth encounters.
• Engage in MASLD-related clinical research within the MASLD Research Center.
