Hendrick Health Director, Safety, Epidemiology & Performance

The Director of Patient Safety, in collaboration with the Chief Nursing Officer and the Chief Medical Officer, plans, implements, directs, evaluates, and documents an integrated, comprehensive, proactive Patient Safety Program for the healthcare system. The Director serves as the system Patient Safety Officer leading the healthcare system on a journey to a High Reliability Organization through the use of patient safety rounds, establishing a strong culture of patient safety, and proactive projects to improve patient safety. The Director leads the system daily patient safety huddle and chairs the Patient Safety Committee to ensure there is an ongoing plan for monitoring the effectiveness of the patient safety program.
