Hartford HealthCare’s William W. Backus Hospital Cancer Institute in Willimantic, CT seeks an Oncology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for outpatient care.

Join a MSK Cancer Alliance member team delivering value-based cancer care with triage, chemo pre-treatment visits, and survivorship care in a supportive, physician-led environment. Full-time, typically Mon-Fri with a four 10-hour day option, competitive compensation, generous CME, and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

• CT PA or APRN license eligibility is required.
• Oncology experience as PA/NP/RN is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient oncology care including triage and chemotherapy pre-treatment visits.
• Manage follow-up and survivorship visits for oncology patients.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and participate in education opportunities.

• Oncology APP’s will be involved in triage and the spectrum of outpatient management of cancer patients including, urgent visits, chemotherapy pre-treatment visits, follow up appointments, and ongoing survivorship care.

Qualifications

Eligibility to be licensed in Connecticut as a Physician Assistant (PA), or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), is required.

Eligibility to be certified as a Physician Assistant (PA), or Nurse Practitioner is required.

Oncology experience as a PA, NP, or RN is required.

A minimum of 1 year of experience practicing as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is highly preferred.
