Job summary

University of Iowa's UI Health Care seeks an experienced nurse leader to join the Hemodialysis Units as Assistant Nurse Manager. This role interfaces with administrative and clinical nursing staff to spearhead care processes and daily operations for the unit.

The incumbent will work 100% time, with responsibilities ranging from staff development to quality management and research utilization within a major academic medical center.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing required.
• Current license to practice nursing in Iowa required by date of hire.
• One to three years of progressing leadership responsibilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer software applications.

Responsibilities

• Assess nursing care requirements for the patient population.
• Develop, implement and evaluate standards of care.
• Monitor and contribute to patient care and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to plan care for patients.
• Serve as a role model and resource for staff.
