Job summary

St. Mary’s Hospital - Kankakee in Kankakee, IL, is seeking a Hemodialysis Technician to assist in the Renal Dialysis department. This full-time, day-shift position includes on-call requirements, with hours from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm and occasional float coverage.

• Assist RN in care of patients undergoing hemodialysis; maintain and disinfect dialysis equipment.
• Order and stock supplies for in-patient dialysis; monitor and clean supply area and perform assigned duties.

Responsibilities

The Hemodialysis Technician is an unlicensed health care provider responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse in the care of patients undergoing hemodialysis treatment within scope of practice. Responsibilities include maintenance and disinfection of dialysis equipment, ordering and stocking supplies necessary for in- patient dialysis treatment. Monitoring and cleaning supply area as well as other duties as assigned.
