Job summary

Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School is seeking a Section Chief of Hematopathology to lead clinical, academic, and research goals while guiding services at RWJUH and supporting the cancer center and affiliated hospital services.

The role requires MD/DO/MBBS with board certification in hematopathology, NJ licensure eligibility, and a track record in leadership, education, and multidisciplinary care. This is a full-time, on-site position in New Brunswick, NJ.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS degree required.
• Licensed or eligible for New Jersey medical licensure.
• ABP certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology required.
• ABP subspecialty certification in Hematopathology required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical and administrative leadership for hematopathology, including quality assurance and patient care.
• Oversee laboratory subspecialties: hematology, flow cytometry, cytogenetics, and molecular pathology.
• Collaborate with clinical colleagues, participate in tumor boards, and advance multidisciplinary care.
• Teach medical students, residents, and clinical fellows, and contribute to scholarly activities.
• Promote teamwork, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and continuous quality improvement.
