Job summary

Albany Med Health System, based in Albany, NY, seeks a seventh AP/CP board-certified, Hematopathology fellowship-trained pathologist to join our Hematopathology Division. The candidate will sign out hematopathology cases including bone marrow, tissue, and CSF on a rotating basis and participate in shared call.

The role includes active teaching of fellows, residents, and students, with opportunities for translational research and a strong mentorship culture.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in AP/CP with hematopathology fellowship training.
• Experience in hematopathology sign-out and bone marrow interpretation preferred.
• Ability to teach residents and fellows and participate in conferences.

Responsibilities

• Sign-out hematopathology cases (bone marrow, tissue, blood/CSF) on rotation.
• Share hematopathology call load.
• Participate in teaching: fellows, residents, and medical students.
• Deliver lectures and participate in journal clubs and grand rounds.
