Hematology Physician Assistant / Associate Job with Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL

Position Overview

Rush University Medical Center’s Cancer Service Line is recruiting a Hematology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to support inpatient and outpatient services. The schedule consists of four days, ten hours each, with 50% inpatient focus, 25% supporting Benign Hematology, and 25% performing bone marrow biopsies.

Qualifications
  • Current Illinois Physician Assistant Licensure
  • National Certification from NCCPA
  • Graduate of an ARC-PA accredited PA Program
  • Current Illinois RN and APN Licenses
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner from a recognized organization
  • Master's or Doctorate in Nursing
  • BLS certification
Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive patient histories and physicals
  • Develop and implement care plans
  • Order and interpret tests and therapies
  • Prescribe medications, including controlled substances
  • Provide patient education and collaborate with healthcare team
