Job summary

Avera Cancer Institute-Mitchell is seeking a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy to provide and manage direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a defined specialty. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients per approved protocols, interpret diagnostic information, and formulate care plans while maintaining patient records.

Qualifications

• MD/DO licensed to practice in the service state; board certified or board eligible.
• DEA license required (US Department of Justice).

Responsibilities

• Provides and manages direct medical evaluation, diagnosis, procedures, and care for patients within a recognized area of practice.
• Assesses, diagnoses, and treats patients according to medical staff approved protocol and acceptable standards of practice.
• Interprets information gathered during diagnostic processes and formulates plans of care.
• Maintains patient records and accurate information.
• Promotes patient education and safe environment of care.
• Collaborates with care team for referrals and coordination of care.

Education
