Job description

Our health institution, a Lifepoint Health Hospital in Virginia (on the NC border, NW of Durham), is growing with the addition of an employed, full-time APP to serve in the Hematologist/Oncologist service line, strengthening our established team. Candidates currently practicing or in training are encouraged to apply.

Position Details:

1. Join an employed team of Hem/Oncs and an NP, with Radiation/Oncology on-site.
2. Scope includes common oncologies such as breast, prostate, lung, colon, head/neck.
3. Facility is ACOS-CoC accredited.
4. Participate in weekly tumor board meetings and clinical trial programs.
5. Utilize Aria Oncology information system.
6. Average patient volume of 25-30 per day.
7. 100% remote telephone shared call coverage with low call volume.
8. Outpatient clinic constitutes 95% of services.
9. Clinic staffed with navigators, pharmacist, pharmacy tech, lab tech (with lab draws in-office), phlebotomist, office manager, and clinical director (shared with radiation oncology).
10. Hospital admits are handled by the hospitalist group.
11. Low turnover in the clinic fosters a true family atmosphere.

A 250-bed community hospital with the region's only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. Accredited by the American College of Cardiology (ACC) for Chest Pain and Heart Failure, and by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Serving the community for over 120 years, it has been a training site for medical students and residents since 2010, through programs accredited by the AOA and ACGME.
