Job description

This need is for a BC Hematologist/Oncologist. The position will include seeing patients in clinic, in hospital, and participating in a 1:4 shared call rotation. Preference is for a full-time physician who can start ASAP until July when new physicians start. However, we will also consider physicians interested in part-time or on-call roles, as this will help reduce some workload.

Options:

1. Full-time:
   1. Four days a week seeing patients, with one administrative day for documentation.
   2. Participate in rotating hospital call during the week (once a week) and every 4th weekend.
   3. See both new and established/follow-up patients.
   4. Participate in tumor boards (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).
2. Part-time:
   1. Three days per week in clinic, seeing new hematology consults, long-term follow-up patients, and alternating on-treatment visits with the primary doctor.
   2. Hospital support (consults, weekend) would be helpful but is likely not desired by most part-time physicians.
3. Weekend call:
   1. Participate in the 1:4 weekend rotation.
   2. Friday 5 pm through Monday 8 am, receiving sign-out from all doctors on Friday evening and providing sign-out to the doctors either Sunday night or early Monday morning regarding hospital patients.
   3. Handle patient calls via answering service, documenting conversations in Epic.
   4. See hospital consults and manage patient care.
