Locums - Joplin, Missouri, Hematology/Oncology Job (IMLC Accepted)

Clinical Role:

• Referral incentives available—ask us about our generous referral fees!
• Start Date: 5/1/25, ongoing need
• Schedule: 24-hour on-call coverage for weekends, 1-2 weekends per month
• Availability: 4 weeks per month from May to August; 2 weeks per month from September 2025 to September 2026, rotating with another provider covering 3 weeks monthly
• Staffing: 2 full-time physicians and 2 full-time APPs
• Primary Duties: Medical oncology and hematology patients
• Procedures: Consults, follow-ups, possible bone marrow biopsies
• Call Type: Beeper with some consultation responsibilities
• Patient Census: 15-23 patients per clinic shift; 1-2 patients during night call
• Call Details: Phone consultations and occasional rounding
• Procedures to perform: BMT or BMB (can work around scheduling)
• Hospitalist admits new patients
• Work Mix: 40% Hematology/Oncology, 60% Medical Oncology
• Privileges: Emergency privileges available within 60 days
• Facility: Located in Joplin, equipped with advanced cancer technology including daVinci robotic surgery, Elekta Versa HD linear accelerator, PET/CT, Space OAR Hydrogel, and ABUS
• Qualifications: Board Certified or Board Eligible; Active MO License or IMLC; Fellowship preferred; ACLS, ATLS, BLS required
• EMR: Epic
