- Other Details: The facility which is stroke-certified is looking for a provider to cover on-site clinical hours and beeper call if needed. The facility is seeking a Hem/Onc physician for locum coverage starting in May through August for four weeks per month, then transitioning to two weeks per month from September 2024 to September 2026, rotating with another provider. The role includes 24-hour on-call weekend coverage (1-2 weekends per month) and weekday call via beeper with occasional rounding. The clinic is staffed with two full-time physicians and two full-time APPs, managing a patient census of 15-23 per shift and 1-2 calls per night. Responsibilities include consults, follow-ups, and potentially bone marrow biopsies, though this is negotiable. The patient mix is approximately 40% Hem/Onc and 60% Medical Oncology, with no acute leukemia or malignant hematology cases. Hospitalists handle new patient admissions, and emergency privileges are available for open dates within 60 days.
