This role focuses on providing exceptional care to Hematology patients, utilizing advanced technologies such as robotic-assisted surgeries and state-of-the-art radiation treatment. Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification in Hematology required.
• Experience with daVinci robotic surgery preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care primarily for Hematology patients.
• Conduct consultations and follow-ups, including possible bone marrow procedures.

Job description

Coverage type: Scheduled Clinic Hours + Call

Practice settings: Outpatient & Inpatient

Schedule: Full-time provider needed. Call coverage rotation can be scheduled pending the submission of multiple providers.

Clinic: Monday to Friday 7A - 5P

Call: 24 hr on-call coverage

Duties: Primarily Hematology patients

Procedures: Consults, follow-ups - possible bone marrow

Call Type: beeper with some consultation.

Site Location: Mercy Joplin Cancer Center

Hospital and/ Clinic: Clinic (Hospital on-call weekend only)

Mercy Cancer Center - Joplin is home to the latest in cancer technology and treatments, including daVinci robotic assisted surgery, Elekta Versa HD, the most advanced linear accelerator in the region offering IMRT stereotactic radiation treatment and 3D radiotherapy, PET/CT scans, prostate cancer treatment with SpaceOAR Hydrogel and the region s only automated breast ultrasound (ABUS).
