Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, Hematology Medical Oncology Job

Clinical Role:

2. Excels in the relationship and support of cancer patients in a warm and welcoming setting.
3. Caring and attentive team of support services including genetic counselor, nutrition support, social work, nurse navigation, behavior therapist, and lymphedema specialists.
4. Specialty services include on-site Radiation Oncology, Interventional Radiology, and Palliative Care.
5. Participation in Multidisciplinary Tumor Board Conferences.
6. Includes telemedicine and community cancer center services.
7. Recipient of the NCI Community Oncology Research Program grant (NCORP), providing access to current clinical trials.
8. Program accreditations as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program and the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers by the American College of Surgeons.
9. Organizational leadership is dyad-led, with physician and administrative leaders partnering.
10. Certified as HIMSS EMRAM Level 7 for both inpatient and ambulatory facilities.
11. Consultative call only; hospitalists routinely admit and cover patients at night.
12. Average of 12-14 follow-up visits and 1-2 new patients per day.
13. Team includes 3 MDs and 1 APC, with anticipated future growth.
14. Regional outreach includes 1 day per week at clinics in Park Rapids and Fosston.
15. Approximately 10 days of call per month.
16. Uses EPIC electronic medical record system.
17. Requirements: BC/BE in Hematology and Medical Oncology, with experience as a Hem/Oncology Physician.
