Seeking 2 Medical Oncologists - Northeast Ohio

Cancer Center is seeking 2 highly qualified medical oncologists - one general, focused on all disease types, and one with an interest in sub-specializing in breast cancer - to serve the hospital's growing hematology and oncology services. The hospital recently opened a comprehensive cancer center, Family Cancer Center, in summer 2022. With the new center now open, there couldn’t be a more exciting time to join our organization!

Cancer Center Features

1. 45,000 sq. ft. two-story addition with modern design promoting collaboration
2. 13,270 sq. ft. renovation of Radiation Oncology, including upgraded technology and equipment
3. Multidisciplinary clinic space
4. Supportive and clinical services such as patient navigation, clinical trials, and cancer registry in the same location for seamless access
5. Centralized entrance and patient drop-off
6. Expanded infusion areas for privacy and treatment efficiency
7. Family respite areas and gardens to promote wellness

The dedicated team provides compassionate, personalized cancer care using state-of-the-art technology. The program diagnoses and treats over 1700 new cancer cases annually, including specialties like hematology/oncology, gynecologic oncology, breast surgery, general surgery, plastic surgery, urology, thoracic surgery, interventional oncology, neurosurgery, and palliative care. Support services include nurse navigators, dietitians, social workers, and support groups. The hospital is accredited by the Commission on Cancer, National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers, and the American College of Radiation Oncology. The program also features a nationally recognized clinical trials department with over 37 active trials.

Qualifications

Board certification or eligibility in Oncology and Hematology is expected. Both experienced and new physicians are encouraged to apply.
