Hematology / Oncology Physician at Greenstaff Physician & Provider Solutions

Summary:

A Hematology / Oncology Physician is needed for a locum assignment in Tehama County, CA, focusing on diagnosis, staging, and treatment of hematology and oncology patients. This role includes oversight of an infusion center providing various therapies, where the physician will ensure quality and timely care. Requirements include board certification in oncology and hematology, California state license, and a medical oncology fellowship.

Job details :

• All aspects of diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment of hematology / oncology patients.
• MD oversight for both the oncology / hematology clinic and infusion services.
• Infusion center requires MD onsite for all treatments.
• Provides chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood / platelet transfusions, hormone therapy, antibiotic therapy, rheumatoid arthritis injections, and therapeutic phlebotomies.
• Required procedures: None; bone marrow biopsies are referred to outside providers.
• EMR systems: iKnowmed (clinic) and Cerner (infusion).
• Support staff includes 1 clinic RN, 2 MAs, 2 front office clerks, 1 quality analyst/biller, and 3 infusion RNs.
• Reason for coverage: Locum's one-year assignment completed.

Job Requirements :

• Board certification in oncology and hematology preferred; will consider board eligibility. Providers boarded in either oncology or hematology are acceptable.
• California state license is REQUIRED.
• Medical oncology fellowship is REQUIRED.
• Malpractice insurance with a clean record preferred.
• Full-time availability is REQUIRED (to be confirmed at time of clearance).
