Job description

Seeking BE/BC Hematology Oncology Physician to join our team in Bowling Green, KY. We are a hospital-based practice with a diverse case volume, providing comprehensive therapy options to southwest and central Kentucky. Our close-knit team is dedicated to treating each patient like family.

Highlights:

1. Currently, three physicians in our hospital-based medical oncology practice, with strong internal referrals from multiple specialties including radiation-oncology, neurosurgery, ENT, pulmonology, thoracic surgery, urology, gynecology, gynecology-oncology, surgical-oncology, and general surgery.
2. Support staff includes 2 APRNs, a dedicated nurse navigator, social worker, dietician, pharmacist, and professional staff in a collegial environment.
3. Desirable call schedule: 1:4 shared among the group.
4. Supported by a full inpatient hospitalist service for admissions.
5. On-site breast and lung nodule clinics for streamlined cancer patient workup.
6. On-site chemotherapy and infusion center with approximately 30 chairs; additional services at satellite locations.
7. Focus on team-based, multidisciplinary care with opportunities for leadership and professional development.
8. Part of a well-established hospital-based practice at a community-academic medical center affiliated with the University of Kentucky, including residencies, fellowships, and a nursing school.
9. Affiliated with the University of Kentucky Markey Cancer Center Network, enabling collaboration and access to clinical trials.
10. Teaching opportunities with residents and medical students.
11. Accredited by the American College of Surgeons CoC since 2004; Radiation Oncology accredited by the American College of Radiology; outpatient imaging center designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence.
