Anderson, South Carolina, Hematology Oncology Job

• Clinical Role:
  • Seeking a fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist for their Cancer Center in Anderson, SC. Located along South Carolina's National Heritage Corridor, the greater Anderson area is a fast-growing and diverse county of about 185,000 residents.
  • Candidates can be BE or BC, but BC is HIGHLY PREFERRED due to practice complexity and the first physician being onsite alone most of the time.
  • Full-time outpatient position with minimal hospital rounds.
  • Working hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, with slight variations; at least 32 patient contact hours + on-call duties.
  • Cover practice call and inpatient oncology patients; no weekends.
  • Practice is in a rebuilding phase.
  • Desired start date: ASAP.
  • Approximately 1200 new cancer cases annually.
  • Average patients per day: 15-25.
  • Trauma Level II facility with a state-of-the-art Cancer Center, accredited since 1984, including on-site Radiation Oncology, infusion department, laboratory, and Epic EMR.
  • Access to nationwide clinical trials through UC-NCORP.
  • Supportive leadership and collegial staff.

  • This is a permanent, full-time role requiring residency in the local area; relocation may be necessary.
