Job description

Location:

A city located in the northwest part of South Carolina, approximately halfway between Atlanta, Georgia, and Charlotte, North Carolina, part of the 'I-85 corridor'.

Facility:

A Cancer Center providing comprehensive cancer care with advanced treatments and personalized care plans. Dedicated to improving quality of life for cancer patients through early detection, treatment, and support services.

Opportunity:

1. Seeking a fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist for their Cancer Center.
2. Candidates can be BE or BC; BC is highly preferred due to practice complexity, with the first physician often onsite alone.
3. Full-time outpatient position, with minimal hospital rounds.
4. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm, with slight variations; minimum 32 patient contact hours plus on-call duties.
5. Responsibilities include practice call and inpatient care for Oncology patients; no weekends.
6. The practice is in a rebuilding phase.
7. Desired start date: ASAP.
8. Approximately 1200 new cancer cases annually.
9. Average patients per day: 15-25.
10. Trauma Level/Designation: Level 2.
11. State-of-the-art Cancer Center, accredited by the Commission on Cancer since 1984.
12. On-site Radiation Oncology department and robust supportive services.
13. 24-bay outpatient infusion department with on-site pharmacist.
14. On-site laboratory services and Epic EMR system.
15. Access to nationwide clinical trials through UC-NCORP.
16. Supportive leadership and collegial medical staff.
