Job summary
The University of Cincinnati College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology-Oncology, is recruiting for a full-time (100% FTE) Nurse Practitioner to support the University’s mission and commitment to excellence in patient care and education.
This role requires a Master’s degree in nursing, an active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority, and board certification, with a minimum of three years of nursing experience; additional Hematology-Oncology experience is
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Ohio APRN license with prescriptive authority.
- Active Board Certification in appropriate nursing specialty.
- Three (3) years nursing experience.
- 2-3 years of Hematology-Oncology experience is considered.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive or episodic health history and physical assessment of patients.
- Order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic tests.
- Prescribe appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatment modalities.
- Monitor the effectiveness of interventions.
- Maintain accurate medical records.
- Collaborate with other providers and team members in care delivery.
- Educate patients and families about medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Participate in research and education of learners.
