Job summary

UHA University Health Associates at Roane General Hospital is seeking an Advanced Practice Professional in Hematology/Oncology to provide comprehensive patient assessments, coordinate care, and participate in discharge planning within the infusion center and ambulatory settings.

The role includes daily rounds, pre-treatment evaluations, collaboration with faculty and nursing staff, teaching residents and students, and adherence to evidence-based guidelines to ensure high-quality cancer care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CCNE-accredited nursing program with a Master’s Degree in Nursing.
• National Certification by a recognized APRN certification body.
• Licensure or eligibility for RN and APRN in West Virginia.
• American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive and individualized care in the infusion center and ambulatory settings.
• Perform rounds and pre-treatment evaluations; coordinate clinic and inpatient care.
• Develop and review care plans with the clinical team; coordinate discharge planning.
• Order and interpret tests within scope; communicate results to team and patients.
• Educate nursing staff, residents, and students; participate in rounds and professional development.
