Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from an NAACLS-accredited program or a Biological Science degree plus NAACLS-accredited CLS/MT certificate
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of hospital lab on-the-job training in high complexity testing in multiple disciplines
• Preferred: Master's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (MSCLS)

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests per established procedures
• Operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and validates lab equipment
• Performs QA/QC and follows QA guidelines
• Educates and trains laboratory personnel, students, and residents
• Maintains laboratory supplies and inventory
• May perform specimen collection and phlebotomy as applicable
• Ensures CAP, TJ, and other accreditation standards are met
• Performs other duties as assigned
