Job summary
Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City seeks a Lead Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform and report laboratory tests under indirect supervision, ensuring CAP/CLIA/DNV compliance and patient safety.
You will mentor staff, manage quality control, assist with inventory, and collaborate with lab leadership on process improvements, with experience in clinical laboratory science and instrumentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science, or medical technology.
- Associate degree in medical laboratory technology, medical laboratory science, or clinical laboratory science.
- MLT/MLS (ASCP) registry or equivalent.
Responsibilities
- Perform and report laboratory tests accurately under indirect supervision.
- Ensure CAP, CLIA, and DNV compliance.
- Assist in orientation of new personnel and promote teamwork.
- Oversee quality control and quality improvement activities.
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and processes.
- Collaborate with lab management on operations and process improvements.
