Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for Classical Hematology. The APP will work as an autonomous provider within the supervising physician team to assess, diagnose and manage patient care.

Responsibilities include patient history and exams, ordering and interpreting tests, prescribing therapies, and providing education to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree as NP or PA required.
• NJ APN/RN or PA license/certification required.
• AHA BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• The APP will perform a patient history and physical examination to determine a working differential diagnosis and develop an individualized plan of care.
• Services include, but are not limited to, ordering, performing, supervising, and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests, and prescription of pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic therapies.
• The APP may provide teaching, education and counseling to individuals, families and groups.
• For uncommon or unstable conditions, the APP will formulate diagnoses in consultation with the supervising physician and participate in dual management and treatment.
